What’s all the HYPE with a BALANCED diet?! 🌈

Balanced, low-glycemic eating is so important for fueling your body to stay full and energized throughout the day πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ What do I mean by balanced? Making sure you have a variety of macronutrients at each meal and always including a good amount of protein and fat with every meal. My favorite protein choices are pastured eggs, organic meats like turkey, chicken and occasionally beef, wild caught fish like salmon, cod and tuna, beans, and whole grains like quinoa. Remember, eat from the rainbow 🌈

Pay attention to how your body feels, too. I’ve discovered over the course of the last 6 months or so, that increasing my protein a bit is helping me to stay more full throughout the day. I love the way I feel energized and more satiated since upping my protein so I’m rolling with it. I’m not saying you all need more, I’m just saying PAY ATTENTION. Don’t be afraid to experiment, and it’s helpful to keep a food journal too (or even a note on your phone) so you can record how long you stay full and energized when you eat certain foods, and which ones cause you to feel hunger shortly after you eat them πŸ”₯
